God, I am Ugly

OK, so here are my current problems (warning, body talk ahead):

My medication for my stomach used to give me dry mouth, but luckily that's sorta faded. However, chapped lips OHMYWORD. I always get chapped lips but this is extraterrible. This morning they were cracked and BLEEDING. I have not worn lipstick in I can't tell you how long. So it hurts, it's ugly, and I can't cover it up with lipstick. This is a problem, people.

Also mouth-related, I got this weird bump inside my lip that I think I diagnosed on WebMD and is totally benign and not a big deal, but it's swollen and is irritating and I've bit it a couple of times.

It's also a)so dry here and b)the meds again that the inside of my nose is, like, hard. It hurrrrrrrts. Then it itches, then it hurts. This morning, that bled too.

Also upon awakening this morning, I had a giant zit on my cheek (a weird place to get it) and some weird stomachaches. I have been craving Snickers bars for like four days. Which is a little strange for me.

Well, surprise! It's time for my monthly visit, even though it isn't time! Cramps, zits, I feel like my limbs are lead weights and I am all pufftacular. Not surprisingly, my mood is also kind of sucky.

I am seriously ugly right now. Ugh.

I feel exactly the same way. I just told my friend I am ready to take the shower of a lifetime when I get home, just to boost the self esteem and try to prettify.

Also, get a humidifier STAT!!!

No matter how chapped, bloody, bumpy, and swollen you are, my friend, I still think you're beautiful.

And I second Sarah's motion to buy a humidifier!!

You might feel ugly, but I doubt you actually are!

Mr. Monkey sold some concert tickets today to this guy who works for a cosmetics line. The guy insisted on giving Mr. Monkey a ton of lip balm and lip plumper. Mr. Monkey is now self-conscious about his lips.

When he came home, he was all like, "Are my lips really chapped or something? Are they too thin?"

Hilarity.

We have not one, but two, humidifiers--one on either side of our bed. I think our place is hard to "humidify" due to the 11-foot ceilings and the all-one-room-iness nature of our place. And I think they are cheap humidifiers.
And the meds. Just terrible dry.
But thanks for the sympathy, friends. I am one pitiful creature right now.

even in your "ugly" stage, i know you are still beautiful!
sorry, i hear your pain. i think this winter is especially dry, 'cause my lips and nose are awfully dry and cracky and disgusting too : (
sorry. i used LipMedex from Blisex when I was on acutane, and it was a super god-send fix. best lip lube evah. for reals. it's tingly and calming. (and probably addictive)

I want to give you a big fat hug right now. I've had my fair share of ugly days so I know how you feel.

A tip for your mouth and lip probs: try lysine. It's an herb/vitamin that's supposed to promote health in the lips and mouth. Maybe that, along with some medicated lip balm, will help you out. Good luck!
