*Starting a new job--in a related field, but not what I have been doing for the past five years--and being the new girl.
*Grandma's 82 this week. She still looks beautiful. I hope I remain person who's full of vitality by then.
*Life is going too fast. The summer is slipping by, and I've been swamped.
*I'm broke. Waiting for a first paycheck after being underemployed is rough. Serious.
*Starting work around 9 is SO MUCH better than starting around 8. Hallelujah!
*Must.Start.Thank-you notes for the wedding.
*Must get keys made, stamps, oil change.
*Must prepare house for photo shoot next week.
*Finish writing freelance pieces (I interviewed Jane Seymour this morning!)
*Get laundry done
*Must see friend Fatty's house
*Glad my friend is back
There's always just so much it feels like. I've been looking forward to getting my life back a little bit after the wedding... That hasn't happened yet. I need a breather, people!
Any advice for what you do to relax—or keep on top of your million things you have to do?

Does your friend Fatty know you call him/her Fatty?
Because I think I would cry if that were my nickname on a blog!
Just take one thing at a time. Make a list, cross things off.
And drink wine. ;)
You got to interview Jane Seymour?!
And more importantly... you get to get to work around 9!!
So jealous.
I totally stand by list making. When I feel overwhelmed, I usually made a list of things I NEED to get done, and a list of things I don't want to forget to do, but aren't as high of a priority. From there, you just have to take things one at a time :) Good luck!
make a list, check it twice, and go like hell during the week. I tend to run my butt off during the week, so I can play during the weekend (although part of my running during the week is social). and, one thing at a time seems to be best.
Celeb interviews and a 9 start time? I'm a little jealous, I gotta say. One thing at a time dear.
9 AM start time sounds heavenly. i've never had a job like that.
when i don't know where to start, i start anywhere. usually with a small, easy task so i can cross something off the list and feel accomplished. cliche, i know, but it works for me! oh, but i'm still behind from being behind during wedding planning. ah well. such is life.
Oh, Fatty knows . . . and now everyone else does, too. At least there was no mention of my wonky eye.
D'oh!
ha! i totally feel for ya on the Wedding Thank you cards. SO glad I don't have to ever do that again ;)
but on the plus side, you get to look over and remind yourself all of the fabulous things you got for the wedding!
You are already doing it. Make a list and work your way through it.
oh, jane seymour. "somewhere in time" is one of my all-time favorite movies, as cheesy as it was!
You have up to a year to send thank-you notes after your wedding. Try to hammer out a few every night.
Don't drink too much caffeine. It will just make you more jittery/anxious.
Remember that your coworkers were all new girls at one point, too. It won't be long before you're going to happy hours with them.
If you can survive losing your job right before your wedding, you can pretty much survive anything.
