Spinning Tires

Sometimes I feel stuck in neutral gear. I'm trying to get over it.

EDITED TO ADD: The previous statement is still true, but I just got a huge compliment from one of the people whose opinion I care most about--even if it IS biased because we're related.

It's from my uncle, who is a journalism professor, and I gave him some of my stories to read. This is what he wrote back:

"...compliment you on the articles on Adar, your marriage of styles, and the wedding on Maui. Outstanding writing and reporting. Loved every word. I'm so proud of you. Way to go."

So. YAY! That helps.

That does help. And I know he meant it even if he is related.

Hi. I just read your spot-on comment on Linda's blog, and stopped by to say hi & add you to my reader. Actually, I reviewed my values and my goals and replaced another longtime blog in my reader with yours, but that's probably my own issue that I should consider writing about on my own blog.

Since I never saw it in the magazine, and have only wanted to read it for like two years, could you please send me the story on Adar, too. Thanks!

Hey KD! I second what Kalisa said. I saw your comment on Sundry's blog during the whole Dooce/Maytag drama and thought "Woo hoo! I KNOW her!" Cat fight indeed.
And I agree with your uncle. :)
